Traditional Chinese Theory and Practice (TCM) is the backdrop of our seasonal yoga and qigong courses. It creates a structure, created by nature, to help both practitioners and teachers individualize their practice/classes as well as guide and instruct students to theme classes to know when, and why to use certain poses or moves. 

We created these courses to bring you a wealth of information and tools to use for yourself and students who might be struggling with injuries, illness, compromised immune systems, or looking to optimize their health and performance.

TCM is the lens through which we can see ourselves as individual and create a targeted therapeutic practice as well as a lens through which we can design group classes and create inspirational workshops. 

Our courses are intended for anyone who wants to better understand and become inspired by ancient wisdom, backed up by new scientific breakthroughs, and see how to support and adjust the practices to meet their own and their clients unique needs. The information also provides a great resource for healthcare providers, yoga teachers, physicians, and anyone interested in maximizing the beneficial and restorative effects of yoga.

Our courses all contain within them a deep understanding of the foundations of TCM, yogic philosophy, and Daoism to give you the tools to understand the relevance behind the application. This deeper learning and understanding of energetic anatomy will arm you with an awareness that you can use to discern which practices and techniques might be most helpful at any given time.

Included are yin/yang or sun/lunar principles, meridian theory, the in depth information into each of the five elements to understand their function, associated meridians and muscles, yoga postures, breathing techniques, relationship to food therapy and lifestyle implications, and much more including the infradian, circadian and utradian rhythms. We see how to address common conditions, and listen to lectures packed full of information which will bring all the practices to life. Included are manuals or session notes with illustrations giving you a detailed map of information with the specific applications to yoga, movement, and life. You’ll end with valuable tools and strategies to support optimal health and performance for anyone who wants to feel their best and increase wellbeing.

We  really believe these courses and workshops will change how you practice and teach, and I help reframe your own personal practice and  share your knowledge weith others.

The amount of information and knowledge shared during this course was mind blowing. Teaching was delivered in a very gentle but effective manner - you learn without realising it, just listen and absorb. Yoga practice during this course had many dimensions such as physical ashtanga yoga taught during every module and gentle yin yoga.
